  my dad was looking and the official watchtower website and he said it has such a truthfull and genine look about it and how i should'nt read the forums because people's opinions on there are misguided and they dont know what their talking about.

  has anyone said anything similar to you?

  When people don't want to see reality, they just don't see it. I had an example this evening. We were back from the meeting where my wife had given reply to a n° 3 assignment and we gave a lift back home to a young sister. Because of the nuisance that stikes in public transports are causing at the moment, she said that we are longing for the new order. I then slipped in the conversation that the definition of the last generation would be changed next february and I added that within the last 13 years the WTS will have had 3 different definitions of this last generation, the latest one being totally different from the 2 previous ones. What do you think this young sister's reply was ? Jehovah's organization is refining its position...

  I Just Have to Share This

  my estranged hubby and i have a brilliant 18-year old daughter who has been working since the age of 16. she received a full academic scholarship plus numerous monetary awards for her high school achievements.

  needless to say, she's built up a nice little nest egg.. estranged hubby has always been an exceptional father.

  for instance, when baby girl needed an abacus in 3rd grade, he made one for her.

  I believe that most of what we do as parents for our kids is owed to them but still, it's a warm feeling when we are gratified with their giving us some - I wouldn't say Back- wholeheartedly,

  please join in sending your prayers, good thoughts, reiki, healing vibes, lighting a candle or just taking a moment to think of all those named and unnamed who are fighting cancer or in any other need.

  also their loved ones and caregivers.. - has been fighting mantle cell lymphoma for three years.

  he received an allogeneic cell transplant and his latest blood and bone marrow results have shown no trace of cancer!!

  Oh yes, i've got a couple of 30 years old LP vinyls of this group, I wonder if they have been reissued on CD. Quite nice gang, that was about the time another folk group, the Bothy Band, was performing.

  I was accompanying my wife that evening and the elder who gave the talk also emphasized the tremendous cost of translation in the EU parliament (which indeed is appalling BTW), along with interpreting. I'm sure WTS translators and interpreters wouldn't mind earning what the the EU folks earn but they'd better give up the idea. We have interpreters and an instant translation appliance in our congr. which comprises an asian group. Quite nice foks, always smiling, one never really knows what they really think. Cliché but real. Anyway, I was feeling embarassed for the speaker's sake who had to give such a shameful pleading, including donations in last will, all the more so that he quoted RUSSELL's word in his introduction.

  respect for the sanctity of blood ranks highest, in jw theology, on the scale of christian standards, along with not being a murderer, an adulterer, a robber, etc.

  in fact, it is the identifying feature of jws for the onlooker.

  Before this thread is buried into the depths of JWD archives : thanks to you all for your comments, they sure have done their bit as eye openers. Now, the honest JW is left pondering over this 2P rule : for me the principles, for them the policy.

  in answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.

  he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .

  he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .

  Any JW knows that one of the very bad things that a christian must not do is accepting a blood transfusion. Respect for the sanctity of blood ranks highest, in JW theology, on the scale of Christian standards, along with not being a murderer, an adulterer, a robber, etc. In fact, it is THE identifying feature of JWs for the onlooker.

  Under such conditions, anyone would expect unrepentant transgressors of God's command about blood to be unequivocally banished from the congregation as serious wrongdoers in order to keep the congregation undefiled. Instead, we find that the official stand of the WTS in this matter is that transgressors of this blood command are not disfellowshipped. The WTS holds that these people cut themselves off from the congregation on a voluntary basis expressing, in doing so, their will not to be JWs anymore. This attitude was evident when the WTS took steps in order to get JWs officially recognized as a religion in Bulgaria.

  We find the same official stand with those who would join the army or would openly take side with a political party.

  Interestingly, in these three instances, the WTS takes this stand in matters where it could be in deep trouble with authorities if it did acknowledge openly that it excommunicates people for such acts, since it perfectly knows that in many countries that would mean incurring prosecution and getting its own financial responsibility and its leaders' personal responsibility involved, on the ground of its exercising pressure on people's minds leading to putting lives at risk, rebellion to the army and to the government and unsocial behaviour.

  In the face of the marked efforts that the WTS is developing in order to placate authorities, the honest JW feels this unthinkable question creep into his mind : is the faithful and discreet slave speaking double speech ?

  Could have been titled : Who really is the harlot who commits fornication with the kings of this world ?
